Basic pie crust
A basic pie crust! Easy to use, though mainly intended for food pies.
Ingredients
- 3 dl flour
- 125g butter
- 3 tbsp water
You'll need a bowl. Maybe a fork, if you're feeling fancy.
How to cook
Put the flour in a bowl. Add the (cold) butter in little pieces. Mix with your fingers or a fork until it's grainy.
Add the water, and knead into a solid dough fast.
Put the dough into an oven safe form. Make sure it covers the bottom and edges. Chip the edges with a fork.
I mainly use this recipe for zucchini pie, but you can essentially make anything in it. Just make sure any meat is cooked before you put it in, for safety reasons. If you want an "egg soup" for the pie, look in the zucchini recipe. You can also make 5-ish small pies with this amount of dough, in my experience.
